I went with @dwightgalang and @panjerak to the Hexagon Lounge to celebrate the end of the semester last Friday night. We chilled out as Up Dharma Down, Radioactive Sago Project, and Hidden Nikki played. Check out some of the photos below.

Create Screen Clippings with SnapIt [Windows]

We can use the print screen (Prt Sc) button to take a shot of a whole screen, and the Alt+Prt Sc combo to grab only the top window. But how to grab any part of the screen? We can hit Prt Sc, paste the screenshot to our favorite image editor, then crop it. This is where SnapIt comes in; it can save us the trouble of this dragging process.

SnapIt Screen Capture 3.7 is a utility that allows us to easily capture anything on the screen, and even automatically save the image to a file. A software with this feature is not uncommon. (I often use the built-in screen clipping function of Microsoft OneNote.) There are also some websites that offer to do the same. But if you are usually offline and want a lightweight software solution, SnapIt is just right for you.

Using SnapIt is very simple. To grab some rectangular area on the screen, press the assigned hotkey (the cursor style will be changed to the cross sign), then draw a rectangle on the region you would like to grab. The selected region will be copied to clipboard. You can also arrange in the settings if you want your images to be auto-saved to a file, which can be in Jpeg, Png, Gif, Bmp, or Tiff format.

Purchase SnapIt 3.7 at $17.99 or click here to download your free trial copy now!
